Shari Graydon is a former newspaper columnist, TV producer,
commentator for CBC, and past president of MediaAction. She has taught
courses on the social impacts of media at Simon Fraser University, and
published two award-winning youth media literacy books, including Made
You Look: How Advertising Works and Why You Should Know.
Media Action is working to improve the media portrayal and representation
of women and girls through media analysis and action
