School’s Out for Summer…

closedforsummer The weather is wonderful, the kids are distracted and the homework has come to an end – all signs that school is finished for another year.

Here are a few things we don’t want you to forget, and a few others to help you through those long stretches of boredom:

Jockvale’s New Website is Full of information!    The school website is being updated regularly with all kinds of current and really useful information about day to day activities and changes.  Check it often!!

It’s difficult to believe but this school year is almost over.  The weather is beautiful and  you can tell the end is near – less homework, final field trips, award ceremonies, year end celebrations:

June 1-8th:  EQAO for grade 3 students

June 16th:  6th Annual Spring Fling & BBQ ~ The event of the year!

June 16th: Jockvale’s Play Day

June 17th: Last Hot Dog Day

June 24th: Report Card Day

June 25th: Last Day of School !!

The Jockvale School Council would like to express our gratitude to all those parents who helped with all our activities including Movie Nights, Lunch Programs, BBQs the Spring Clean-Up.  Without you our school would be a very different place!!

Upcoming Community Events

Over the past year we have worked closely with other school councils from both School Boards through the Barrhaven Consolidated School Council (BCSC).    This collaboration has brought our community together and we have begun sharing and supporting each other.   From time to time we will bring to you notices and invitations from our community of schools.  We hope that you will join us in supporting our community and take advantage of invitations for learning and fun.

Dr. Scott Wooding Speaks on Connecting with Teenagers: Tues May 4th @7pm:

The School Council from Monsignor Paul Baxtor E.S. has extended an invitation to our parents to join them for this dynamic speaker. Please see flyer for details.

Berrigan Elementary School’s 2nd Annual Garage Sale: Saturday May 8th 7am -1pm.

This annual fundraiser for Berrigan promises to be a great outing with face painting, Scholastic Book Fair, bake sale and loads of treasure hunting.   199 Berrigan Dr. in the school gymnasium.  Flyer
